Get Help Applying for Disaster Loans (DLOC) 

Residents, renters, and businesses impacted by the December 2025 storms can now get in-person help applying for low‑interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). 

The deadline to return physical damage applications is April 6. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Nov. 3

This Storm Recovery Resources landing page was established by the San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services to serve as a centralized hub for recovery information and assistance following the recent storms.

San Bernardino County experienced significant storm impacts from December 23-26, including flooding, debris flows, and infrastructure damage. While the storm system has passed, County departments and partner agencies continue recovery operations in impacted communities.

Residents can use this page to access available recovery assistance, local resources, safety guidance, and official updates as recovery efforts continue.

As of January 21, debris and trash disposal operations at these sites have concluded and are now closed.

Residents of Wrightwood and Lytle Creek should note the following updates regarding storm debris disposal and available recovery resources.

Site Closures

The Wrightwood Disposal Site and Lytle Creek Disposal Site are now closed. Please do not bring debris to these locations.

Where to Dispose of Storm Debris

Residents should transport storm debris to one of the following facilities:

  • Mid-Valley Landfill (Rialto)
  • Victorville Landfill (Victorville)

Disposal Fee Waiver

A disposal fee waiver is available for up to 5 tons of storm debris for homes impacted by the recent storms.

Flood Preparedness PRECAUTIONS AND TIPS TO STAY SAFE:

  • If you live in an area prone to flooding or near a burn scar, stay alert to rapidly changing conditions and be prepared to move to safety quickly.
  • If a Flash Flood Warning is issued, stay off the roads and move away from waterways.
  • If you live near a recent burn area, go immediately to an interior room on the lowest risk side of your home or move to higher ground such as a second floor.
  • In general, avoid rivers, creeks, streams, recent wildfire burn areas, and any low-lying or flood-prone locations.
  • Monitor your local response agencies for most current information

Resources to help you prepare NOW:

San Bernardino County Animal Care (AC) provides supplies and resources to animal rescue groups or residents who have been impacted by the winter storm. For animal supplies or resources, please call (909) 386-9820. If you find an injured or displaced animal, please contact (800) 472-5609 or visit animalcare.sbcounty.gov 

San Bernardino County Environmental Health Services (EHS) provides environmental support, including food safety guidance, vector-related assistance, and public health education to support recovery efforts. To learn more about EHS services, please visit https://ehs.sbcounty.gov/
